QUESTIONS ANSWERED
This is the most common question we get 89% of our customers are adult children buying for a parent. The key is framing it as peace of mind for the family, not a sign of weakness. Try: "It's not because you need it, Mum it's so we can all stop worrying." Most parents accept it once they realise how discreet and comfortable it is.
The ALELOA Hip Protector has been independently impact-tested and uses certified materials. It is recommended by physiotherapists for fall prevention. While it is not classified as a medical device, it is designed specifically to absorb and distribute impact force during a fall to the hip area.
Yes. The shock-absorbing pads are designed to withstand multiple impacts. After a fall, inspect the pads for visible damage. If intact, the protector continues to provide full protection.
Measure around the widest part of the hips over the clothes your parent normally wears not on bare skin. This is important because the belt goes on over underwear and a vest, so you need the "dressed" measurement.
Our sizes: S (34–38 in), M (38–42 in), L (42–46 in), XL (46–50 in), XXL (50–56 in).
We recommend choosing one size up. The velcro closure is wide enough to adjust the belt tighter very easily, but a belt that's too small can't be made bigger. Sizing up means a comfortable fit from day one and comfort is what keeps your parent wearing it every day.
Quick guide if you don't have a tape measure handy: ask your parent's usual UK trouser size. Size 10–12 usually fits well in M. Size 14–16, go for L. Size 18+, go for XL. When in doubt, go up.
Yes. Many customers wear it to bed, especially those who get up during the night. It's slim and comfortable enough for sleeping. Night-time falls are particularly dangerous wearing it to bed adds extra protection.
Machine wash the belt at 30°C. Air dry or tumble dry low. Reinsert pads once dry. This is why we offer the Wash & Wear bundle so your parent is never unprotected during laundry day.
We offer a 14-day return policy in line with UK consumer rights. If you or your parent are not satisfied, contact us for a full refund. The product must be in its original condition. Email support@aleloa.co.uk and we'll take care of everything.
